AboutUs

Our church is made up of people from different backgrounds and all ages. One thing remains constant, however; the stories of lives changed through the power of Jesus Christ. We believe our church is best when our people are involved in worshiping, growing, and serving.

  • Jim Young Director of Operations

Jim wears a lot of different hats at ACC, overseeing areas including facilities, technology, finances, policies, legal matters, and publicity. In some of these areas he gets directly involved, while in others he leads a team. Since 2003, he has worked hard behind the scenes to make sure the ministries of ACC have maximum impact.

Jim is married to Elissa. He continues to work part-time as a bench jeweler. He likes to knit, crochet, garden, and has enjoyed computer programming since before he entered kindergarten! • Carolyn Eiter  Secretary

Who types faster than a speeding bullet, answers the phone in a warm, professional tone, and knows where to find the key to the food pantry? That would be Carolyn, on staff since July of 2004.

Carolyn has a handsome husband named Chuck and three grown kids: Tim (Andrea), Ellen, and Andy. Her interests include reading, hiking, and bike riding.

In his spare time he enjoys playing any kind of sport - football, basketball, and wrestling being his favorites. The Michigan Wolverines and Detroit Lions are his favorite teams, and he watches every game. He also enjoys spending time with friends and family playing cards and board games.

His favorite sports moment was being in attendance at game 2 of the '05 World Series when Scott Podsednik hit a walk-off homerun!

He enjoys the opportunity to be a servant leader to the people of ACC and the surrounding community and seeing the life-changing power of Jesus Christ in peoples lives. He looks forward to the day when his boys will be the first brothers to play pitcher and catcher for the White Sox at the same time.
