Mothers of PreschoolersWelcome to Arlington Countryside Church MOPS!MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS understands that the years from infancy to kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs. MOPS is about:
At MOPS, we provide a friendly and fun place for mothers to relax, encourage and learn from one another about how to handle this rewarding, but sometimes tough time in our lives. At a typical MOPS meeting, moms can enjoy delicious food, adult conversation, interesting speakers and fun creative activities. Not to mention gab time with the girls! It’s a great place to re-energize and connect with other moms. Arlington Countryside Church MOPS meets the first and third Thursday of each month from September through May from 9:30–11:00am. The MOPS theme this year is “The Home Factor." Accordingly, we will hear speakers about topics such as how to de-clutter and keep the home organized. We’ll also enjoy crafts such as making home-made soup mixes and spa products. Please see the 2008–2009 Calendar for more details on this year’s meeting topics. Childcare (MOPPETS)While moms are enjoying refreshments, guest speakers, conversation and crafts with other moms, the little ones are being cared for. The ministry of MOPPETS is not just an hour and half of babysitting. Children are divided into age appropriate groups and enjoy stories, games, crafts, singing and other activities.
