In a continued effort to protect the well-being of the community we serve, we are suspending all in-person worship services and activities. This includes Upward Basketball games and Award Celebration, Student Ministry, Awana, Growth Groups, etc.
Although we won't be having in-person meetings right now, we are planning to offer a variety of resources online. More information on this will be released over the coming days. There will be something offered online this Sunday. We hope you will still plan to join us.
We are also formulating pastoral care plans for our most vulnerable members. If you would like someone from church to reach out to you, please email us. We are doing our best to identify those in our congregation who will benefit from extra pastoral care during this time, but we do not want to miss anyone.
Though the spread of the virus has caused various levels of fear and anxiety, we are reminded of what Scripture says about the peace we have through Jesus Christ (Philippians 4:6–7) and the command to cast our cares on Him (Psalm 55:22), knowing that He is ultimately in control.
The decision to suspend in-person activities was not made lightly. Although we have no knowledge of anyone who has attended an ACC service or event with COVID-19 or having had contact with an infected person, we feel these actions are necessary out of an abundance of caution. We are hopeful that our actions and those of our local schools, businesses, and government will allow for us to resume normal actives in the near future.
We care about your safety and health. Since flu season is still going strong and cases of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) have started appearing in our area, we wanted to give you some updates and instructions.
First, please be assured that our staff is monitoring the information released by the CDC and is following their recommendations. In addition to our normal cleaning process, we are doing some additional cleaning, especially in our children's area. Also, more bottles of hand sanitizer are available for use around the building.
What you can do to help:
- Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care. - Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue then throw the tissue in the trash.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
If you have a fever or other flu-like symptoms, please stay home until at least 24 hours after you’re fever-free without the use of fever-reducing or other symptom-altering medicines.
If you know you have been exposed to somebody with one of the viruses, please make sure to follow CDC guidelines for isolation and care.
Also, pray for the health of our church, our community, our country, and those around the world. If there are any significant changes, we'll keep you updated.
We are continually monitoring the latest developments regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and will continue to update this page.
Tomorrow will be the first Sunday of having our service online. We are sad that we can't see all of you in person, but we are excited for the chance to still share in coming together online to look into God's Word. Here are instructions for how to join us this week.
This Sunday's service video will be available starting at 8am tomorrow. You can watch it at any time after that. However, it would be great if you stick to your normal service time and know that those that normally sit next to you are watching it along with you.
To view the video, go to: acchurch.org/messages
We also would like to continue to pray with you. We encourage you to submit your prayer requests to us. You can use this online prayer request form.
You can give online here. You’ll be given the option to give once or give regularly using the Frequency option.
Please know that we are moving quickly to add online resources later in the week. We'll also have additional resources for next Sunday.
