Visitor's FAQs

What should I wear to church on Sunday morning?
Whatever is comfortable. You'll see ties, T-shirts, dresses, and jeans. We're not particular.

Do I need to bring a Bible?
We have Bibles here, but if you like to scribble in the margins, please bring your own. We use the New Living Translation.

Are you going to make me stand up and introduce myself?
No. We have a little card in the bulletin where you can mark that you are visiting. If you leave your address, we’ll mail you a nice little letter.

What do my kids do during the service?
We have childcare available for infants and Sunday school for toddlers through 5th grade. Kids will be in a secured area of the church from the time you drop them off until you pick them up.

What if I have a kid older than 5th grade?
During the school year, middle schoolers have Sunday school from 10:30-11:30am. High schoolers attend the service.

What do I do when I get there?
We have greeters and ushers in the lobby who can help with any questions you have. Someone will direct you to the children’s check-in desk if you have kids to check into Sunday school. Also, please pick up a coffee mug at the Welcome Center as our gift to first time visitors.

Do you have stuff going on during the week?
Almost every day. Throughout the week we have different activities geared to most age groups.

My question isn’t here. Who can I contact?
You can contact the church office Monday-Thursday from 9-3 and Friday from 9-2 at 847-255-2140, or you can email office@acchurch.org anytime.
